Garnett, Kansas is a small city located in Anderson County, in the northeastern part of the state. Garnett is located in the Osage Plains region of Kansas. The city is situated on the banks of the Marais des Cygnes River, and is the county seat of Anderson County. The city is surrounded by rolling hills and prairies, and is located approximately 50 miles south of Kansas City.
