West Point, Alabama is a small town located in the southeastern corner of the state, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It is situated on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, which forms the border between Alabama and Georgia. The town was founded in 1817 and is the county seat of Chambers County. West Point is located at 32°51'N 85°25'W (32.85, -85.42). It is situated on the banks of the Chattahoochee River, which forms the border between Alabama and Georgia. The town is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, and is surrounded by rolling hills and forests. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters.

Economy

West Point is a small, rural town, and the economy is largely based on agriculture. The town is home to several farms, as well as a number of small businesses. The town is also home to a number of manufacturing plants, including a paper mill, a textile mill, and a furniture factory.
