Fullerton Summary
Fullerton is a small city located in the state of North Dakota. It is located in the southeastern corner of the state, near the border with Minnesota. The city has a population of just over 1,000 people, and is part of the Grand Forks metropolitan area.
History
Fullerton was founded in 1883 by a group of settlers from Wisconsin. The city was named after the Fullerton family, who were among the first settlers. The city was incorporated in 1887, and the first post office was established in 1888.
The city grew slowly over the years, and by the early 1900s, it had a population of around 500 people. The city was home to a variety of businesses, including a flour mill, a creamery, a lumber yard, and a hotel.
In the 1920s, the city experienced a period of growth, as the population increased to over 1,000 people. This growth was largely due to the construction of a new railroad line, which connected Fullerton to the nearby cities of Grand Forks and Fargo.
The city continued to grow throughout the 20th century, and by the 2000 census, the population had reached 1,072.
