Casselton Summary

Casselton is a city located in Cass County, North Dakota, United States. The population was 2,329 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Cass County.

History

The area that is now Casselton was first settled in 1871 by a group of Norwegian immigrants. The town was named after the Cassel brothers, who were early settlers in the area. The town was officially incorporated in 1883.
