Spokane Creek Summary
Spokane Creek is a small unincorporated community located in the western part of Montana, in the Flathead Valley. It is situated in the Flathead National Forest, about 25 miles south of Kalispell. The community is surrounded by the Flathead River, the Flathead Lake, and the Mission Mountains.
History
The area around Spokane Creek was first inhabited by the Salish-Kootenai people, who lived in the area for thousands of years before the arrival of European settlers. The first European settlers arrived in the area in the late 1800s, and the community of Spokane Creek was established in the early 1900s. The community was named after the Spokane River, which runs through the area.
