Bear Creek Summary

History

The small town of Bear Creek, Wisconsin is located in Outagamie County, in the northeastern part of the state. It is situated on the banks of the Fox River, and is part of the Appleton-Oshkosh-Neenah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was first settled in 1848 by a group of German immigrants, who named it after the nearby Bear Creek. The town was officially incorporated in 1872, and has since grown to a population of just over 1,000 people.
