Whittlesey, Wisconsin is a small town located in the northern part of the state, in the county of Oconto. History
Whittlesey was founded in 1876 by a group of settlers from the nearby town of Oconto. The settlers were looking for a place to settle and start a new life, and they chose the area around the Oconto River. The town was named after the first settler, William Whittlesey, who was a prominent figure in the area.
