Sobieski is a village located in Oconto County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Green Bay Metropolitan Statistical Area.
History
Sobieski was founded in 1883 by Polish immigrants who had come to the area to work in the lumber industry. The village was named after the Polish king Jan III Sobieski. The first settlers were mostly from the area of Poznan, Poland. The village was incorporated in 1891.

The racial makeup of the village was 97.3% White, 0.2% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.4% Asian, 0.4% from other races, and 1.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.3% of the population.
There were 213 households, out of which 33.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.5% were married couples living together, 9.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.5% were non-families. 25.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 3.09.
