Dietrich, Idaho is a small town located in Lincoln County, Idaho. It is situated in the south-central part of the state, approximately 40 miles south of Twin Falls. In the 1920s, Dietrich began to experience a population boom, as many people moved to the area to work in the nearby mining industry. The town also had a number of businesses, including a hotel, a bank, a movie theater, and a variety of stores.

Dietrich is located in the south-central part of Idaho, approximately 40 miles south of Twin Falls. The town is situated in the Snake River Plain, and is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland. The town is located at an elevation of 4,717 feet above sea level.
