West Samoset Summary

Samoset, Florida is a small unincorporated community located in Manatee County, Florida. It is situated on the west side of the Manatee River, just south of the city of Bradenton. History

Samoset was first settled in the late 1800s by settlers from the North. The area was originally known as “West Samoset” and was part of Manatee County. The first post office was established in 1887 and the community was officially incorporated in 1891.
