Town N Country is a census-designated place (CDP) located in Hillsborough County, Florida. It is a suburb of Tampa and is located just north of the city. The population of Town N Country was 78,442 at the 2010 census, making it the fourth-largest CDP in the county.
Geography
Town N Country is located at 28°3'N 82°41'W (28.05, -82.68). According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 24.2 square miles (62.6 km2), of which 23.9 square miles (61.8 km2) is land and 0.3 square miles (0.8 km2) (1.17%) is water.
The CDP is bordered by the city of Tampa to the south, the city of Westchase to the east, the city of Carrollwood to the northeast, the city of Citrus Park to the northwest, and the city of Keystone to the west.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 74,741 people, 30,845 households, and 20,845 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 3,093.3 people per square mile (1,193.2/km2). There were 32,845 housing units at an average density of 1,357.3/sq mi (524.7/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 79.2% White, 8.2% African American, 0.3% Native American, 4.7% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 4.7% from other races, and 2.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 16.2% of the population.
