Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there were 4,845 people, 2,845 households, and 1,845 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,179.3 people per square mile (455.7/km2). There were 3,072 housing units at an average density of 748.2/sq mi (289.2/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 97.90% White, 0.45% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.45% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.31% from other races, and 0.75% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.45% of the population.
