Benton Summary

Benton is a small town located in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. It is situated on the western edge of the parish, just south of the Red River. The town was founded in 1837 and named after Thomas Hart Benton, a United States Senator from Missouri. The population of Benton was 2,945 at the 2010 census.
