Tull Summary

Tull is a small town located in the state of Arkansas, in the United States. It is situated in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, in the northwest corner of the state. The town is located in the county of Franklin, and is part of the Fort Smith metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the population of Tull was 1,093.

History

Tull was founded in 1883 by a group of settlers from Tennessee. The town was named after a local creek, which was named after a Cherokee chief named Tull. The town was originally a farming community, and the main crops grown were cotton, corn, and wheat. In the early 1900s, the town began to grow and develop, and by the 1920s, it had become a thriving community.
In the 1950s, the town began to experience a decline in population, as many of the younger residents moved away to larger cities. However, in the late 1970s, the town began to experience a resurgence, as many of the younger residents returned to the area. Today, Tull is a small, but vibrant community.

Geography

Tull is located in the northwest corner of Arkansas, in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. The town is situated in the county of Franklin, and is part of the Fort Smith metropolitan area. The town is located at an elevation of 845 feet above sea level.
The climate in Tull is humid subtropical, with hot, humid summers and mild winters. The average annual temperature is around 64 degrees Fahrenheit, and the average annual precipitation is around 45 inches.

Economy
