Oakhaven Summary
History
The small town of Oakhaven, Arkansas is located in the northwest corner of the state, just south of the Missouri border. It is part of the Ozark Mountains region and is known for its rolling hills and lush forests. The town was founded in 1883 by a group of settlers from the nearby town of Fayetteville. The settlers were looking for a place to settle and start a new life, and they found it in Oakhaven.
The town was named after the oak trees that grew in abundance in the area. The settlers quickly began to build homes and businesses, and the town grew rapidly. By the early 1900s, Oakhaven had become a thriving community with a population of over 1,000 people.
