Dewitt, Arkansas is a small city located in Arkansas County in the southeastern part of the state. It is the county seat of Arkansas County and is located on the banks of the White River. The city has a population of approximately 4,000 people and is part of the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Dewitt was founded in 1873 by the Arkansas and Louisiana Railroad. The city was named after the railroad's president, Charles Dewitt.
