Goldsboro Summary

Goldsboro is a small town located in Maryland, United States. It is situated in the northern part of the state, in the county of Prince George’s. The town has a population of about 1,000 people, and is located about 25 miles from Washington, D.C.

History

Goldsboro was founded in 1790 by a group of settlers from Pennsylvania. The town was named after the Goldsborough family, who were among the first settlers. The town was originally a farming community, and the main crops grown were wheat, corn, and tobacco. In the early 19th century, the town became a popular stop on the Underground Railroad, as it was a safe haven for escaped slaves.
