Secor Summary

Secor is a small village located in Woodford County, Illinois. It is situated in the heart of the Midwest, approximately halfway between Chicago and St. Louis. The village has a population of just over 500 people and covers an area of 0.6 square miles.

History

Secor was founded in 1854 by a group of settlers from New York. The village was named after the Secor family, who were among the first settlers. The Secors were of German descent and had come to the area to farm. The village was officially incorporated in 1872.
