Roberts Summary

Roberts is a small village located in the state of Illinois, in the United States. It is situated in the northern part of the state, in the county of Ogle. The village has a population of around 1,000 people, and is located about 30 miles west of Rockford.

History

The area that is now Roberts was first settled in the early 1800s by a group of settlers from New York. The village was originally known as “New York Settlement”, and was later renamed to Roberts in honor of the first settler, John Roberts. The village was officially incorporated in 1867.

Geography

Roberts is located in the northern part of Illinois, in the county of Ogle. It is situated about 30 miles west of Rockford, and is bordered by the villages of Leaf River, Forreston, and Stillman Valley. The village is located on the banks of the Rock River, and is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland.

Economy
