History
Morrisonville was founded in 1854 by William Morrison, a settler from Kentucky. The village was named after him. The first post office was established in 1855. The village was incorporated in 1872.

Morrisonville is a small rural community with a population of 1,845. The village is home to several small businesses, including a grocery store, a hardware store, a restaurant, and a bank. The village also has a post office, a library, and a fire station.
