Morrisonville is a small village located in Christian County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,845 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, Illinois Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Morrisonville was founded in 1854 by William Morrison, a settler from Kentucky. The village was named after him. The first post office was established in 1855. The village was incorporated in 1872.
