Ivesdale Summary

Ivesdale is a small village located in Champaign County, Illinois. It is situated in the east-central part of the state, about 25 miles south of the city of Champaign. The village has a population of approximately 500 people, and is part of the Champaign-Urbana metropolitan area.

History

Ivesdale was founded in 1871 by William Ives, a local farmer. He named the village after himself, and it was incorporated in 1875. The village was originally a farming community, and the main crops grown were corn, wheat, and oats.
