Geography

The municipality covers an area of approximately 57 square miles (148 km2). The terrain is mostly flat, with some hills in the northern part of the municipality. The highest point is Cerro de la Cruz, which rises to an elevation of 1,068 feet (325 m). The municipality is drained by several rivers, including the Moca, Grande de Añasco, and Grande de Arecibo.
