Truman Summary

Truman, Minnesota is a small city located in Martin County in the south-central part of the state. It is situated on the banks of the Blue Earth River, about 30 miles south of Mankato. The city has a population of 1,845 people, according to the 2010 census.

History

Truman was founded in 1871 by a group of settlers from Wisconsin. The city was named after the then-President of the United States, Harry S. Truman. The city was incorporated in 1887 and has since grown to become a thriving community.
