Swanville is a small city located in Morrison County, Minnesota, United States. It is situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, approximately 40 miles northwest of St. Cloud. History

Swanville was founded in 1856 by a group of settlers from New York. The city was named after the swans that were seen in the area. The first settlers built a sawmill and a gristmill, and the city quickly grew.
