Ogema Summary

Ogema is a small city located in Becker County, Minnesota, United States. It is situated on the western edge of the White Earth Indian Reservation, and is the county seat of Becker County. The population was 545 at the 2010 census.

History

Ogema was founded in 1887 by the Northern Pacific Railroad. The city was named after the Ojibwe word for "chief," and was originally known as Ogema Station. The city was incorporated in 1901.
