Geography

Grey Eagle is a city located in Todd County, Minnesota, United States. It is situated along the banks of the Mississippi River, approximately 25 miles northwest of St. Cloud. The city has a total area of 0.7 square miles, all of which is land.

History

Grey Eagle was founded in 1856 by a group of German immigrants. The city was named after a nearby lake, which was named after a Native American chief. The city was originally a farming community, but it soon became a trading center for the surrounding area.
In the late 19th century, Grey Eagle was a popular destination for tourists, who came to enjoy the area’s natural beauty. The city was also home to a number of businesses, including a hotel, a general store, a blacksmith shop, and a sawmill.
