Glyndon Summary

Glyndon, Minnesota is a small city located in Clay County, in the northwestern part of the state. It is situated on the Red River of the North, and is part of the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area. The city has a population of 1,845, according to the 2010 census.

History

Glyndon was founded in 1881 by the Northern Pacific Railroad. The city was named after Glyndon, Maryland, the hometown of the railroad's president. The city was incorporated in 1887.
