History

Shiloh was founded in 1817 by a group of settlers from Pennsylvania. The village was named after the biblical city of Shiloh, which was located in the ancient kingdom of Israel. The settlers were attracted to the area due to its fertile soil and abundant natural resources. The village was incorporated in 1837 and quickly became a thriving agricultural community.
