Milton Center is an unincorporated community located in the northwest corner of Miami County, Ohio, United States. It is situated along the Stillwater River, which is a tributary of the Great Miami River. The community is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Milton Center was founded in 1817 by a group of settlers from New England. The community was named after the Milton family, who were among the first settlers. The first post office was established in 1820.
In the early 19th century, Milton Center was a thriving agricultural community. The area was known for its production of wheat, corn, and other grains. The community also had several mills, including a sawmill, a gristmill, and a woolen mill.
In the late 19th century, Milton Center began to decline as the railroad bypassed the community. The population decreased and many of the businesses closed.
