Hoytville Summary

Hoytville is a small village located in Wood County, Ohio, United States. The village is situated along the Blanchard River, approximately 8 miles south of Bowling Green. The population of Hoytville was estimated to be 545 in the 2010 census.

History

Hoytville was founded in 1837 by William Hoyt, a native of Connecticut. He purchased the land from the government and began to develop the area. The village was originally known as Hoyt's Station, but the name was changed to Hoytville in 1845. The village was incorporated in 1867.
