Holland Summary

Holland, Ohio is a small city located in Lucas County, Ohio. It is situated on the Maumee River, approximately 20 miles southwest of Toledo. The city has a population of approximately 8,000 people and is part of the Toledo Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Holland was founded in 1835 by a group of Dutch settlers who had migrated from the Netherlands. The settlers named the city after their homeland, and it quickly became a thriving agricultural community.
