Grimesland is a small town located in Pitt County, North Carolina. It is situated in the eastern part of the state, about 20 miles east of Greenville. The town was founded in 1891 and named after the Grimes family, who were among the first settlers in the area.

Grimesland is located in the Coastal Plain region of North Carolina. The town is situated on the Tar River, which flows through the area. The terrain is mostly flat, with some rolling hills in the surrounding area. The climate is humid subtropical, with hot summers and mild winters.
