Lake Ann Summary

Lake Ann is a small village located in Benzie County, Michigan. It is situated on the shores of Lake Ann, a small lake of the same name. The village is located in the northwest corner of the county, approximately 10 miles south of Traverse City. The population of Lake Ann was 545 at the 2010 census.

History

The area around Lake Ann was first settled in the late 1800s by a group of German immigrants. The village was originally known as “Germantown”, but was later renamed to Lake Ann in 1891. The village was officially incorporated in 1895.

Lake Ann is located in the northwest corner of Benzie County, approximately 10 miles south of Traverse City. The village is situated on the shores of Lake Ann, a small lake of the same name.
