Eustace, Texas is a small town located in Henderson County, Texas, United States. It is situated about halfway between Dallas and Tyler, and is part of the Tyler Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population of Eustace was 1,092 at the 2010 census.
History
Eustace was founded in 1873 by a group of settlers from Tennessee. The town was named after Eustace B. Smith, a prominent local landowner. The town was incorporated in 1876 and the first post office was established in 1877.
In the early 1900s, Eustace was a thriving agricultural community, with cotton, corn, and other crops being grown in the area. The town also had a number of businesses, including a bank, a hotel, a general store, and a blacksmith shop.
In the 1920s, the town began to decline as the Great Depression hit the area. Many of the businesses closed and the population began to dwindle.
In the 1950s, the town began to experience a resurgence as the economy began to improve. The population began to grow again and new businesses opened.

Eustace is located at 32°14'25" North, 95°59'45" West (32.240278, -95.995833). The town is situated on the banks of the Trinity River, about halfway between Dallas and Tyler.
