Boyd Summary

Boyd, Texas is a small town located in Wise County, Texas. It is situated about 25 miles northwest of Fort Worth and is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1882 and was named after William Boyd, a local rancher. As of the 2010 census, the population of Boyd was 1,207.

Geography

Boyd is located at 33°14'25"N 97°41'45"W (33.240278, -97.695833). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all of it land.
