Mcconnellstown is a small borough located in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, approximately 20 miles east of Altoona and 30 miles west of State College. The population of Mcconnellstown was 545 at the 2010 census.

History

Mcconnellstown was founded in 1820 by William McConnell, a Revolutionary War veteran. The town was originally known as McConnellstown, but the name was changed to Mcconnellstown in 1845. The town was incorporated in 1851.
