Jackson Center borough Summary

Jackson Center Borough is a small borough located in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. It is situated in the northwest corner of the county, and is bordered by the townships of Sandy Lake, Wilmington, and West Salem. The borough was incorporated in 1876 and has a population of approximately 1,000 people.

History

The area that is now Jackson Center Borough was first settled in the late 1700s by a group of German immigrants. The town was originally known as “Jackson’s Settlement”, named after the first settler, John Jackson.
