Farwell Summary

Farwell is a small village located in Isabella County, Michigan. It is situated in the center of the state, about 20 miles east of Mount Pleasant. The village has a population of 1,717 people, according to the 2010 census.

History

Farwell was founded in 1871 by a group of settlers from Ohio. The village was named after a local landowner, William Farwell. The first post office was established in 1872.
