Union Star Summary

Star, Missouri is a small town located in the northwest corner of DeKalb County, Missouri. It is situated on the banks of the East Fork of the Grand River, and is approximately 20 miles south of St. Joseph, Missouri. The town was founded in 1854 by a group of settlers from Union County, Ohio, and was named after the Union County in Ohio.

Union Star is located at 39°45'25" North, 94°37'45" West (39.756944, -94.629167). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.3 square miles (0.8 km2), all of it land.
