Maysville, Missouri is a small town located in DeKalb County, Missouri. It is situated on the banks of the Grand River, approximately 30 miles south of St. Joseph. The town was founded in 1837 and named after the first settler, William Mays. The population of Maysville was 1,093 at the 2010 census.

History

Maysville was founded in 1837 by William Mays, who was the first settler in the area. The town was originally known as Maysville Station, and was a stop on the Hannibal and St. Joseph Railroad. The town was officially incorporated in 1867.
