Lowry City is a small town located in St. Clair County, Missouri. It is situated in the Ozark Mountains, approximately 50 miles south of Springfield. The town was founded in 1883 and was named after William Lowry, a local landowner. The population of Lowry City was 545 in the 2010 census.
