Heuvelton Summary

Heuvelton is a small village located in St. Lawrence County, New York, United States. The population was 1,093 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Ogdensburg–Massena, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Heuvelton was first settled in 1797 by a group of Dutch settlers from the Netherlands. The village was originally known as "Holland Patent" and was later renamed "Heuvelton" after the Dutch word for "hill town". The village was incorporated in 1845.
