History
Durhamville was first settled in 1793 by a group of settlers from Durham, Connecticut. The hamlet was originally known as Durham, but the name was changed to Durhamville in 1808. The hamlet was incorporated in 1848.
Durhamville was an important stop on the Utica and Syracuse Railroad, which was built in 1839. The railroad was a major factor in the growth of the hamlet, as it allowed for the transportation of goods and people.

Durhamville is located at 43°14'25" North, 75°25'45" West (43.240278, -75.429167). According to the United States Census Bureau, the hamlet has a total area of 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2), all of it land.
