Strasburg is a small town located in Franklin County, Missouri, United States. It is situated on the banks of the Missouri River, approximately 25 miles west of St. Louis. The population of Strasburg was 1,072 at the 2010 census.

History

Strasburg was founded in 1819 by German immigrants who had settled in the area. The town was named after Strasbourg, France, which was the hometown of many of the settlers. The town was originally known as "Strasburg-on-the-Missouri" and was the first German settlement in Franklin County.
The town was an important trading post for the local farmers and merchants. The town was also a stop on the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway, which ran through the town from 1883 to 1971.

Strasburg is located at 38°25'25" North, 91°17'45" West (38.423, -91.296). The town is situated on the banks of the Missouri River, approximately 25 miles west of St. Louis.
The town has a total area of 0.7 square miles, all of which is land. The town is located in the Ozark Plateau region of Missouri.

The economy of Strasburg is largely based on agriculture. The town is home to several farms, which produce a variety of crops, including corn, soybeans, wheat, and hay.
