Hallsville is a small city located in Boone County, Missouri, United States. It is part of the Columbia, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 2,717 at the 2010 census.

History

Hallsville was founded in 1819 by William Hall, a Revolutionary War veteran. Hall was the first settler in the area and the town was named after him. The town was incorporated in 1867.

Hallsville is located at 38°59'45" North, 92°17'45" West (38.995833, -92.295833). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.2 square miles (3.1 km2), all land.
