Rutledge Summary

Rutledge is a small town located in the state of Georgia, United States. It is situated in the northeastern part of the state, in the county of Morgan. The town has a population of approximately 1,000 people, according to the 2010 census.

History

Rutledge was founded in 1820 by a group of settlers from North Carolina. The town was named after the Rutledge family, who were among the first settlers. The town was incorporated in 1821 and was the county seat of Morgan County until 1871.
