Millville Summary

Millville, Utah is a small city located in Cache County, Utah. It is situated in the northern part of the state, about 20 miles north of Logan and about 80 miles north of Salt Lake City. The city is located in a rural area, surrounded by farmland and small towns. The population of Millville was 1,845 in the 2010 census, making it the second-smallest incorporated city in the state.

History

Millville was first settled in 1859 by a group of Mormon pioneers led by William H. Smart. The settlement was originally called Smartville, but was later changed to Millville due to the presence of a mill in the area. The mill was built in 1864 and was used to grind wheat and other grains.
The city was incorporated in 1891 and has remained relatively small since then. The population peaked in the 1940s at around 2,000 people, but has since declined.

Geography

Millville is located in northern Utah, in Cache County. It is situated in a rural area, surrounded by farmland and small towns. The city is located at the intersection of State Route 165 and State Route 166.
The city is located at an elevation of 4,890 feet above sea level. The climate is semi-arid, with hot summers and cold winters. The average annual precipitation is around 12 inches.
