Grantsville is a city located in Tooele County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The population was 8,893 at the 2010 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.3 square miles (13.7 km2), all of it land.
History
Grantsville was first settled in 1848 by a group of Mormon pioneers led by William Pace. The town was named after U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant. The town was incorporated in 1891.
Economy
Grantsville is home to several businesses, including a Walmart Supercenter, a Home Depot, and a Smith's Food and Drug. The city is also home to several manufacturing companies, including a steel mill, a plastics factory, and a paper mill.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 6,945 people, 2,072 households, and 1,717 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,312.2 people per square mile (506.2/km2). There were 2,213 housing units at an average density of 418.3 per square mile (161.3/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 93.2% White, 0.3% African American, 0.5% Native American, 0.7% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 3.3% from other races, and 2.0% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.2% of the population.
There were 2,072 households, out of which 51.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.2% were married couples living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.3% were non-families. 14.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.35 and the average family size was 3.71.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 37.2% under the age of 18, 10.2% from 18 to 24, 28.2% from 25 to 44, 17.7% from 45 to 64, and 6.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 27 years. For every 100 females, there were 98.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.2 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $45,938, and the median income for a family was $50,000. Males had a median income of $37,917 versus $25,000 for females. The per capita income for the city was $15,945. About 4.2% of families and 5.3% of the population were below the poverty line, including 6.2% of those under age 18 and 4.2% of those age 65 or over.
