Wyoming, Iowa is a small city located in Jones County, Iowa, United States. It is situated along the Wapsipinicon River, approximately 20 miles east of Cedar Rapids. The population was 1,845 at the 2010 census.
History
Wyoming was founded in 1854 by a group of settlers from New York. The town was named after Wyoming County, New York, where many of the settlers had previously lived. The first post office was established in 1855.

The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 3.04.
In the city, the population was spread out, with 25.7% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females, there were 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.2 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $37,500, and the median income for a family was $45,000. Males had a median income of $31,250 versus $22,500 for females.
