Nora Springs Summary

Nora Springs is a small city located in Floyd County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,845 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Mason City Micropolitan Statistical Area.

History

Nora Springs was founded in 1856 by John and Mary Nora, who were among the first settlers in the area. The town was originally known as Nora's Springs, after the Nora family. The name was later shortened to Nora Springs. The town was incorporated in 1881.
